How I got to this point

It took me thirty years and near death several times before I began to see the truth of life-not through my perception-but through a mind that was clear of any and all distractions. It was not easy for me. I had to let many of my beliefs go in order to achieve this awareness. What I thought I knew about myself lay there in front of me like clothes that no longer fit. Strengths I once thought were impenetrable were no match for what life can throw at you. I found that there is a tangible and intangible world around us. One no more real than the other. In fact, incredibly, all that is unseen dominates over that which is tangible. That's right; our greatest strength, by far, is untouchable, and yet as real as it gets.
I realized how truly vulnerable we are, no matter how much we deny our fear or put words in such way that they might protect our deeper fears. We fool ourselves with this deception because it is all that we know; we have not learned our true strengths. But they are there, waiting for us to realize them.
It fascinates me how much our perception gets in the way of what really is. We watch life happen through so many different windows--shaded from what we think we know, and what we've learned from others. Many times, the truth gets away from us and we really don't grow, as much we'd like to think we do. The fact is, an untainted truth that is able to penetrate through your perception, will bring you closer to your true self. And you will grow-stronger for it.

What to expect from me.

On this site, you will be taken away from all that is familiar to you, and journey to a place that most people have never seen--their true self. I will offer you the tools to be able to do this. You will be empowered. There is so much to know and so many ways to change, that the universe is infinite with potential. You will need no more than an interest in bettering yourself and living life to its fullest. Once you understand, the moment you get it, it will all come together; it will all make sense, and then no one or nothing will ever be able to take it away from you, or distract you from the truth again. It's that simple. Are you intrigued? Good! Then let's begin.

Who I am

It is by my very nature that I see the world through romantic eyes; I think I always have. And then, as if by some imperceptible twist of logic, I feel the world's very pulse with the heart of a savage that lives in me. And yet I'm not at all concerned about this opposing duality. Whether or not I have acquired either along the way, or whether each has always been there, I am comfortable with myself this way. No recent moment,if by chance or deliberate cause, can persuade who I am or what I've become because of my vast journey from home. Not that this has changed me in any fundamental way, as I once thought, and as much as I would like to entertain this notion--it is not true.I have felt who I am since the womb of the beginning of my time. Any change that may have been is only the realization of this verity. Such has been a range of discoveries and expositions of what was possible in me, and only that. The events in my life and how they unfolded, have simply revealed the necessary implements I needed to thrive in my environment in my own way. And by this I have reached, whether or not by fate, the very core of my being, in age and in manner; and what life indistinctly considers to be essential--by now I have only begun to recognize. I should be noticeably close to that unseen threshold of relevance where youth still considers me and maturity waits at my doorstep, but is not yet welcome. I feel that it is my time. All that I have learned, witnessed, and reasoned, is in play at this very moment. At this point, life has little if no forgiveness for missed signs or overlooked possibilities; the days of leniency are gone--windswept forever. In other words, I am unmistakeably aware of my accountability, and furthermore, I would be fully culpable if I denied this to myself or turned away, so I won't; I will face it, and seize the moment.
In the deepest abyss of my consciousness, where my character stirs and thrashes with content and discontent completely at odds, there is a movement of justice which provokes me to action. If I was here in the past when the world was younger, at a time when she fought more with her bare hands, I know that I would've been inspired. I have a leader in me that shows me the way. I would have led legions to war with my passion. But in the same breath, I would not have hesitated to bring these same brave men to peace if that was the course of fate that should be. The highest of the intangible laws guide me through and through; and yet, like all of humanity, there are times when I fall from the graces. I must never be driven to action by emotion alone. Lesser are those who surrender to the crude way of humanity and deliver action by its cause. I will not let that take hold of my spirit. David Michael Como Jr.
